It turns out that we couldn’t make it through the last bit of the trip without running a few errands, and there was a bit of trailer maintenance to do, so we used the day to head into Bend. We replaced the worn out tire, as well as a set of blinds that had broken in the trailer. We also needed fishing licenses and groceries for the last two days of the trip.
Cute little rodents of many shapes and sizes infest the La Pine State Park campground. As soon as the critters caught a whiff of our peanuts (or maybe my excellent Lagunitas IPA), they were on us like flies. John took some nice shots of our flea-bitten little friends. Warning: Don’t let them near your peanuts. The get really bold and even aggressive if they think a snack is in it for them. They are an awful lot of fun to have around, though.
