Today, we had an unscheduled stop in Santaquin, UT, which gave us time to explore the area. The locals told us to head up the Santaquin Canyon, which turned out to be a spectacular drive up a well-maintained federal road, which took us from 5200 feet to about 8500 feet with just a few minutes of driving.
We stopped to look a the creek (I haven’t found its name yet), and take some pictures.
The main picture above was a 1-second exposure with no tripod. I was really unhappy when I got up there, having been thinking I wouldn’t want or need one. To make do, I tucked the camera into the side of a convenient creek-side rock and held it as steadily as possible.
Nice creek shot.
